In 2003 Eclectik Design created our first city scene card which has since grown into a number of city designs and other fun, colorful cards that allow our customers to reach out, stand out and be remembered. In fact, we often hear from our customers that the cards they send to their clients and friends are kept up or framed in their office or home year round. Who creates the designs?

All of our designs are created in-house. The holiday cards are created by Erin Kelly Herrera (Owner) and Jim Kelly (Owner’s Father) with the help of freelancers. The technique of the collage process was passed down to Erin through Jim and it continues today. We also design marketing pieces for a variety of business needs for our clients. 




What is the design process?

The design process depends on our customers’ needs. We work in print and digital formats with businesses and individuals to create custom and personalized projects. Collage Process

The original designs of the majority of our cards are created by hand using cut and torn pieces of paper. This technique is a differentiator. It is why our cards stand out and our customers are remembered. Each card is a piece of art that can be sent in its original form or customized to fit your needs with your greeting, signature line, logo and or photo. 


Digital Process

We work digitally and with the collage technique and sometimes combine the two. We also work with digital library images for some projects. Here is an example of a digital job that we created for a traveling American family. 


I would like to personalize my card. Is this possible? 

Yes. You can add your name, logo (front, inside or both), custom greeting and add a photo. Click here for a snapshot.


How do I personalize a card? 

You can do this online or contact Eclectik (312) 690-3181. There are 5 available online options to personalize both your card and envelope (Styles B-F).

Do you offer recipient addressing?

Yes. Please let us know you’re interested and we will provide you a quote for recipient addressing when ordering 325 cards or more.

How can I purchase Eclectik’s cards?

You can purchase all of our cards online, over the phone and at some local stores in the Chicagoland area.


How long does it take to receive a standard card order?

Standard Orders will be shipped within 3 - 5 business days (if not sooner). If an item is on back order, we will contact you regarding any delays. We will also let you know about similar products that are readily available at the time of your order, if an item is on backorder.

Please let us know if your order is a RUSH and we will do everything possible to get your order out to you within your needed time frame and within production capabilities and standards.


How long does it take to receive a personalized card order?

We will get back to you with a PDF proof for your approval (within 48 hours, Monday - Friday) for personalized card orders. Once you approve your file via email (all orders must be approved in writing)we will let you know the status of your print order. Personalized Orders typically take 6-10 business days from the time you approve your order for your order to ship. However, please let us know if your order is a RUSH and we will do everything possible to get your order out to you within your needed time frame and within production capabilities and standards.


How do you ship orders?

We ship packages via UPS Ground to the 48 continental states. You will receive a tracking number from UPS that is sent to the email address included in your order.

Shipping and Handling Quote will be provided after your order is placed for AK, HI and outside of the USA.


Can I return an order?

Once your custom order is approved via email or fax, (all orders must be approved in writing), your order is final. Custom orders cannot be canceled or returned once approved.

We accept returns of standard products within 7 days of you receiving the shipment. We will refund you for your order, minus our original shipping fee. Any returns must be in the same condition that we shipped them to you in order for a refund to be processed.


Is it safe to order online?

Will the charity logo be on the back of the card if I order a set of 12 Charity cards, Style A or Style B?




This is so the charity does not accrue costs or excess inventory.


Will 10% of the proceeds go back to the charity if I order a set of 12 Charity cards, Style A or Style B? 



I want the logo to be on the back of the charity card.

Okay, great! If you would like the charity information to be printed on the back of the card, please select from Styles C-F. This is great exposure for the charity and 10% of the proceeds will go back to the charity. 


I support another charity, and I want to put their information on the back of the card and for 10% to go back to the charity.

We can definitely do this for you. We need to be connected with the decision maker at the charity you support for their approval (typically this is the Executive Director).

Where do you print? 

We’re partnered with several local printers and all of our cards are printed in the USA on environmentally friendly paper.


How do you print?

The majority of our cards are printed digitally and the majority of our envelopes are printed offset. 




What type of paper do you use for the cards?

Our go to paper is manufactured by Domtar Corporation.


Why did you choose working with these papers?

Do you use other papers?

Yes. For custom projects, we work with the paper that best fits our client’s project. 


What type of paper do you use for your envelopes?

Small Envelope Size: 4-3/8” x 5-3/4”

White, 80lb paper weight, Peel and Seal Envelope with 100% Post Consumer Fiber, FSC Certified.


Standard Large Envelope Size: 5-1/2” x 8-1/8”

White, 24 lb paper weight, moistenable glue.  Holiday Card pricing includes this envelope with option to upgrade to Peel and Seal Envelope.


Peel & Seal Large Envelope Size: 5-1/2” x 8-1/8”

White, 80 lb paper weight, Peel and Seal Envelope with 30% post consumer fiber-recycled. You can upgrade your order with this envelope


Custom Square Envelope Size (No Extra Postage): 7-1/8 x 5-3/8

(Fits 5 x 5 Square Card – a glue stop keeps the card from moving around)
